The house is private, but not isolated.  There is a small shop in the village two minutes away that is open in the mornings and sells bread.  The pretty little town of La Romieu is 8km away where there is a very good bakery as well as two restaurants, a bar and other shops.  The larger towns of Lectoure is a 10 minute drive and here there is a good selection of restaurants, a large supermarket and all the other amenities you might need.  Condom is also easily accessible.  You might also like to explore the riverside town of Valence-sur-Baïse, particularly if it’s a good day for a riverside walk and picnic.  Agen is just 27km away, here you can hop onto a TGV fast train direct into Paris.  Bordeaux and Toulouse airports are both options for international travels.
