Cadair Idris, the most significant mountain in southern Eryri, forms a constant panoramic view from the estate.
The area offers a wealth of outdoor and sporting opportunities, such as the neighbouring national forest of Coed y Brenin. The estate is within easy striking distances of the best of Wales’ outdoor pursuits, from the mountains surrounding the estate to the coastal villages and beaches of the Llyn Peninsula. Dolgellau, known as the town of "music and mountains" lies less than a mile to the southwest of the estate and is the largest town within the national park.
