Description

CASTLETON CASTLE STREET, KEINTON MANDEVILLE, SOMERTON, TA11 6DX

A refurbished three-bedroom bungalow in the heart of this popular village, between Glastonbury and Castle Cary.

Castleton has stylish and immaculately presented accommodation including a sitting room, kitchen, dining room, garden room, three double bedrooms, one en-suite and a family bathroom.

There is a lawned garden, a private courtyard, a rear garden, parking and a garage.

Accommodation
Castleton has been completely refurbished by the current owners, as well as adding a superb kitchen dining room extension to the western side of the property. The house now has stylish and modern fixtures and fittings throughout, including a kitchen and two bath/shower rooms.

A paved pathway leads through the front garden to the front door which enters into an entrance hall. On the left hand side is the sitting room which has a south facing front window and a fireplace with wood burning stove in the heart of the room.

A doorway from the sitting room leads into the newly added kitchen dining room. This is a fabulous addition, enjoying a dual aspect and a vaulted ceiling making it incredibly light and airy. There are plenty of units ranging from drawers to full height larder cupboards with timber worktops and integral appliances including a Neff double oven, hob and extractor plus a dishwasher. There is a large Belfast sink with mixer tap and tiled splash backs above the worktops. Ceramic tile flooring spans the room. From the kitchen there are french doors and a separate rear door leading out and by the back door is a utility cupboard with plumbing for a washing machine.

There are three bedrooms, all double in size, the largest of which being the master room which also has an en-suite shower room. Within the en-suite is a walk in shower, basin, w/c and heated towel rail. The second bedroom has an adjoining study area with a door to the rear courtyard. Also accessing the rear courtyard is the garden room at the back of the property. This semi-internal living space is the ideal year round social space thanks to the bi-folding doors which bring the garden inside. Leading back inside is the family bathroom which is extremely well appointed, having a bath with overhead shower, basin, w/c, heated towel rail and stylish floor and wall tiles.

Outside
To the front and side there are neatly maintained lawned gardens bounded by a low stone wall. To the rear, there is a private sheltered courtyard which is the ideal BBQ spot and even has its own stone built pizza oven. Nearby is a shed, useful for storage of tools and furniture. There is ample parking for two cars on the driveway and a few steps from the house is a single garage with further parking in front.

Services
Mains gas, water, drainage and electricity. Solar water heating and photovoltaic panels.
