The village of Hothfield is in the rural district of Ashford, Kent, and is located north-west of Ashford town. It is a small close-knit community with Beefeater public house, post office and Hothfield Common is also close by with its 143 acres of heathland and lowland valley bogs and a nature reserve managed by the Kent Wildlife Trust.
