The turning circle to the front of the house provides ample parking for several cars and gives access to the brick-built garage/workshop to the front. The front gardens are mainly laid to lawn and feature a fabulous Broad Oak tree, from which the house derives its name and a wonderful ancient Yew tree. There is a beech hedge division to the main gardens around the house. The main gardens have been wonderfully landscaped with a mix of architectural and natural styling, including a formal croquet lawn, spacious limestone paved entertaining terrace, lawns, gravel and kitchen gardens and high-quality lean-to Victorian styled green houses. A tree belt woodland area extends long the eastern boundary and although there is a public path through this, the garden enjoys a high degree of privacy.
