This modern, new home with warm sand coloured walls and clay roof tiles, capitalises on clean lines, light and spaciousness. Crossing the paved forecourt, we enter through a swivel door into a vestibule, with a guest toilet on the right. The large open plan living area occupies the whole of the ground floor, with a lounge and informal dining area giving on to an outdoor entertainment area via aluminium / glass stacking doors. The spacious L shaped area also accommodates a formal dining area which can easily seat ten plus people, and accesses the large, roofed patio and curved swim pool beyond.

The views from every part of the living area are outstanding, looking out high over the houses below, you gaze at the shining blue waves of the Indian Ocean embraced in the curve of the Bay by the Tsitsikamma Mountains in the east and the iconic Robberg Peninsula to the south. Stepping across the open doors, we find ourselves on a lovely, roofed verandah where there is plenty of space for al fresco dining and lounging. A large wood braai and sink unit make for easy entertaining.

Back inside we explore the kitchen: the long breakfast bar and work counters lining the walls have light quartz tops and soft close cupboards and drawers. The integrated stove has a five ring gas hob, electric oven and hood. The scullery leads into the laundry and outdoor drying yard. There is also a walk-in pantry.

Floors are laid on both levels with light tiles, which together with the white décor underlines the theme of light and space. The tiled stairs and chrome handrail are of a modern design. At the top of the stairs is a cosy lounge giving onto a rooftop patio.

The main bedroom is to the left of the stairs - with light streaming in through windows on three sides. The higher elevation incorporates a view of the lovely Poortjies lagoon as well as the ocean, and there is access to the patio – just the place to enjoy the sunrise with your morning coffee. There is an open plan full bathroom with twin basins, large shower and free standing bath, and a dressing room.
