Grogport is 5 miles north of Carradale and about 20 miles south of Tarbert   

Campbeltown is a 30 minute drive away and has a wider range of amenities including 2 supermarkets,  hospital , swimming pool and cinema.  In the other direction the ferry terminal to Lochranza on the Island of Arran is at Claonaig, 10 miles to the north.   5 miles west of Claonaig there is the ferry terminal at Kennacraig for the vehicular service to the Island of Islay
