Seller Insights

"We believe The Old Manor House is the oldest property in the village. The original part was built in the early 1500s, and there’s even '1599' engraved on the wall outside. There are lots of lovely period details around the house, such as exposed beams and the beautiful sash windows that give the house so much character."

“All the living spaces are very bright and airy – with large windows that bring a lot of light into the house. The house feels warm and welcoming all year round. There are several main reception rooms downstairs and a large kitchen, which is perfect for entertaining and also for families.”

“The property has been beautifully renovated in recent years by the previous owners. It’s all been completed to a very high standard – in keeping with the age of the house. But there are subtle modern touches, such as insulation in the walls and floors. So, it’s really warm and cosy in the winter.”

“The gardens are beautiful in summer, with lovely rose bushes and formal gardens at the front and a large lawn at the back of the house. The back garden is enclosed and secure, so it’s great if you’ve got kids or dogs. It’s such a lovely spot to sit in the evening – you can just hear the birds and enjoy the quiet."

"There’s a hot tub out there too, and a gravel area we use for outdoor seating. The back garden gets so much sun – it’s perfect for BBQs and lazy afternoons."

“The adjoining building houses a home office, which provides a nice, quiet space away from the main house if you’re working from home. It could also be converted into a family room or gym very easily.”

“In addition to the detached garage, there is plenty of space for cars on the drive. We have dual vehicle access points on the property, from George Street and Wheelwrights Lane.”

"Helpringham is such a friendly village. There’s always something going on, and everything you need is within walking distance – the school, the pub, the village hall, and a little shop. And if you need more, Sleaford and Grantham are close by."

“The Fens are literally right on your doorstep. This area is perfect for dog walks and horse riding. There are lots of hacks in the surrounding countryside. You can wander for miles and enjoy all the wonderful scenery.”

"The road links are great – we’re close to the A15 and A17, and Heckington train station is less than three miles down the road. For commuters, there are direct trains to London from Grantham, which is just 20 minutes away by car.”
