Description

A particularly fine village house with an attractive outlook over the south facing rear garden and adjoining paddock, in all about 1.2 acres.

Dove House was built in around 1991 by Templeton Walker, a well-known and respected local builder of excellent quality village and country homes. There is spacious and flexible accommodation arranged over three floors. The impressive, light filled entrance hall sets the tone for light and space throughout this home and as you may expect, the accommodation really does satisfy the demands of the modern homeowner. A double aspect sitting room, formal dining room, fitted kitchen/breakfast room, conservatory with doors opening onto the terrace, utility room and cloakroom can be found on the ground floor.
The master bedroom has an en-suite shower room with dressing room off, (potentially bedroom 6), two further double bedrooms and a bathroom. On the second floor there are two double bedrooms, each double aspect, and a separate shower room.

Attached there is a double garage with the gas fired central heating boiler with separate electric up and over doors and staircase to a useful storage area above. Dove House has a large paved south facing terrace adjoining the house. The garden is well stocked with a variety of mature shrubs and plants within the borders and an extensive area of lawn. There is also approved planning permission at the front of the property for an additional garage or carport. To the rear of the garage there is a detached home office 10'0" x 9'8" with air conditioning, electric, light and power with an attached potting shed with workbench and door to an outside WC. At the end of the garden there is an opening through to the beech hedge to the enclosed paddock (about 3/4 acres) with separate access from Doves Lane.

Whiteparish is an attractively located on the Hampshire/Wiltshire borders in a busy village with good facilities including a post office/general stores, doctors surgery, church, well regarded primary school and public house. There is easy access from Dove House to numerous good walks and riding in the surrounding downland countryside and a bridleway opposite Doves Lane leads directly up to Pepperbox Hill. There are also a number of golf courses locally, including Bramshaw and Hamptworth Golf Course. From the village, the A27 goes to Romsey and to the south, the A36 links to Salisbury and the M27 for Southampton and on to the M3. There are airports at both Southampton and Bournemouth and mainline railway stations from Southampton and Salisbury both with connections to London Waterloo.
