Kilmuir lies in a rural location on the Black Isle just north of Inverness city across the Moray Firth. Although access is from a small rural road there is nearby road access to the main A9 dual carriageway providing fast travel to Inverness and Airport to the south and north to the stunning locations around the NC500.
Inverness is known as the capital of the Highlands and is a major hub for business and tourism in the area. As one of the fastest growing cities in Europe, it has a long history as a regional centre for the oil and gas industry and more recently for the burgeoning renewable energy sector.
