Description
Walk just eight minutes to East Dulwich Station. There are good bus routes on your doorstep as well, including the 185 (Lewisham>Victoria).
Your new home or investment property has been tastefully and thoroughly refurbished and redecorated to a high standard. You needn't lift a finger!
There are just two purpose-built apartments in the sizeable brick-built semi-detached building (which share a main front door to the side of the building, plus an internal hall/stairwell), with an established office taking the ground floor below.
Your own front door is at first floor level, on your right at the top of the stairs. Once in, you have your reception room straight ahead. This is over 12 feet by over 11 feet, with a westerly orientation. New pale carpets impress from the off. Next door is bedroom one - this is over 12 feet by nearly 12 feet.
Completing the floor you have your independent kitchen in a U-format, with neat tiles to the floor. Modern wall and base units in on-trend dark blue have been beautifully-fitted, and are topped with smart composite counters. An open floating shelf is a nice decision, and the boiler is tidily housed in a large custom-made unit (seamlessly matching the others) by the window. The kitchen hosts integrated appliances, including a tall fridge/freezer.
Head up to the second floor and you'll first find the property's sleek and windowed bathroom. This has contemporary sanitary ware and fittings (including a separate shower spray), an over-bath shower, and a wide ceramic basin with storage underneath. We love the large format faux-marble wall tiles. Eaves storage is easily accessible from the bathroom. You have plumbing for a washing machine here also.
Bedroom two (the larger one) is next door. It's over 15 feet by over 11 feet, and has a bank of brilliant built-in wardrobes.
Large storage/linen cupboards on the landing complete matters.
Lordship Lane has so much going for it. We love the independent grocery shopping options (like William Rose, SMBS, Brothers greengrocery and The Cheese Block), and the Picturehouse Cinema. Franklins is a top spot (in the dining room, or on one of the cute tables outside for added people-watching) for a fancy bistro lunch or dinner.
North Cross Road has a cool creative and foodie Saturday market, and other regular offerings - which include restaurants, cafes, a book shop, delightful florist and a high-end hairdresser.
Local pubs are strong, and include The Palmerston, The Clocktower, The Great Exhibition, The EDT, The Actress, and The Bishop(!).
You are also within easy walking distance of Peckham's Bellenden Road and Rye Lane. Goose Green and Peckham Rye Park and Common are also close, as is Dulwich Park (both have good parkruns at 9am on Saturdays). East Dulwich leisure centre is nearby for pool, gym and classes.
Local schools include Heber, Goodrich and Harris (primaries), and The Charter School East Dulwich - for secondary phase.
For more options, you are close to Dulwich Village, Nunhead, Camberwell and Herne Hill.
