Description

This home is being sold for the first time in over 40 years! A wonderfully sized property overall which would appeal to those looking for a home to mould into their own. Located in the popular village of Oakhill, Coronation Terrace is a terrace of 9 properties located off of High Street and tucked away behind the old Oakhill Brewery.

The property offers fantastic space and fairly decieving on first glance. With its character features including, flagstone flooring, original doors, original staircase and spacious rooms, with a bit of modernisation in places this is a wonderful property.

Entering into the entrance hallway you are greeted with flagstone flooring which flows through the ground floor accommodation within the original part of the house. The original staircase has a good sized under stairs storage space for bits and pieces. There are two very good sized reception rooms that could be used in different ways to suit your needs. At present the clients have the front room set up as a dining space with the rear room set up as a lounge. The current lounge which overlooks the rear courtyard has two large storage cupboards accessed through full sized doors which provide perfect storage solutions.
To the rear of the property an into the one storey extension is a galley style kitchen which has rear door access out onto the courtyard. The shower room is located at the rear of the extension and off the kitchen and comprises of shower cubicle, w/c and hand basin.

Rising to the first floor landing there are three generously sized bedrooms. Bedrooms one and two are large double rooms with bedroom three being a good sized single. Bedroom one has the added benefit of a storage cupboard with a window to the front allowing natural daylight. This could be an ideal wardrobe area or at least first floor storage solution.

Externally the property is accessed via a shared driveway feeding the whole terrace. There is parking either side of the accessway for four vehicles. The front garden is mainly laid to lawn with graveled area off the parking spaces. This area is currently open, however, like many neighbours can be fully enclosed to provide a safe and private garden. Externally there is a courtyard space with brick built shed and rear access.

Coronation Terrace belonged to Oakhill Brewery and was built to house the maltsters and their families. The steps leading from the courtyard onto the grounds of the Brewery were designed to provide easy access and kept workers well connected. The Brewery has now been converted into an array of luxury apartments.

Oakhill itself is a well regarded Mendip village. Within the village there are some amenities including 2x pubs (both serving food), primary school, GP surgery, village shop, playing fields and an abundance of countryside walks. The village is also well connected to the larger towns and cities such as Wells, Frome, Midsomer Norton and beyond. A road links will also provide easy commuting distance to areas beyond such as Bristol to the North and Yeovil to the South.
