Description

A coastal field with views over Fleet Bay

Description

LOCATION
The land at Carrick Shore is located on the Solway Coast, with views directly on to Fleet Bay. Carrick Shore is an established development of more than 40 holiday lodges. The land is approximately 3.4 miles off the A75.

DESCRIPTION
The subjects comprise a ring-fenced block of former farmland extending to approximately 5 acres in total and ranging from 10 to 24 metres above sea level. The field is classed as 5(2) according to the James Hutton Institute, however it has not been farmed for more than 10 years and has become overgrown. In the northern corner of the field is a former agricultural building of timber pole, metal frame, corrugated iron and asbestos roof, measuring and measuring approximately 15m x 10m.

The field presents a unique opportunity and could, subject appropriate consents, become a bolthole by the sea with potential to develop the shed, or simply fulfil a buyer’s dream of owning land by the sea in this beautiful part of southwest Scotland.

The field is within the Fleet Valley National Scenic Area but lies outwith both the Borgue Coast SSSI to the west and the Carrick Ponds SSSI to the east.

The property is shown on the accompanying location plan.

The approximate postcode is DG7 2DT.
