Description

As part of our Signature collection is this charming four bedroom detached Grade II Listed period house standing in mature grounds of just under a 1/3 of an acre with triple garaging and close to the local reservoir.

De Bois Hall blends period charm with exposed timbers and fireplaces with modern facilities of gas central heating and en suite bathrooms to all bedrooms.

An entrance vestibule opens to a long hallway that meanders its way through the house. At the end is a cloakroom with toilet and wash hand basin.

The sitting room enjoys a dual aspect and has exposed timbers and a central fireplace.

On the other side of the hall is a dining room, again with a dual aspect, exposed timbers and a fireplace.

Further down the hall is a living room which also connects to the kitchen and a study. A laundry room has just been fitted with a wealth of storage and includes space for coats etc.

To the rear of the house is a kitchen/breakfast room which has at one end the breakfast area with a dual aspect and a door leading out to the drive. The kitchen is beautifully appointed with granite work surfaces with ample base and wall mounted storage cupboards. There is a butler's sink and a central feature with an AGA. The room has tiled flooring and a door leading through to a lobby with the gas fired boiler and a door leading outside.

On the first floor is a long landing with high ceiling and access up into the attic room. At one end is a storage cupboard.

The principal bedroom is at the front with dual aspect, exposed timbers and a fireplace. Leading off is a dressing room with a range of wardrobes along two walls and then a door through to the en suite facilities comprising a bath, shower, wash hand basin and WC.

The second bedroom is a good size double and leads to a dressing room with a range of wardrobes along one wall and then through to an en suite with bath with shower above, WC and wash hand basin.

Bedroom 3 is a double with an en suite comprising corner bath, wash hand basin and WC. The fourth bedroom has an attractive fireplace and an en suite shower room with shower, wash hand basin and WC.

Outside
De Bois Hall is retained from John de Bois Hill with an old red brick wall and a 5-bar gate with shingle driveway that sweeps round the front of the house and leads to the triple garaging. The remainder of the front garden is laid to lawn with a mature oak and flowering cherry.

Gates provide access to a private rear garden with paved terrace enclosed by hedging and trellis which flows round with a shingle path to the side garden which is laid to lawn with planted borders and a rockery and further paved patio area. The shingle path continues towards a front gate with a sleeper raised kitchen garden with raspberry canes and a rose bed.
