Description
This small winery for sale in the Marche region near Ancona was established around ten years ago with the aim of producing biodynamic wine. The vineyards have been officially certified organic and Demeter since 2022. The vineyards are managed according to biodynamic principles, supplemented by methods such as the use of biochar, compost and herbal teas, as well as permaculture principles to promote biodiversity in and above the soil.
Today, the winery cultivates around 5 ha of vineyards. All work in the vineyard and in the cellar is carried out by hand. Intervention in the cellar is minimal: the selectively harvested grapes are gently pressed, fermented spontaneously or with neutral organic yeasts, matured for a long time on the lees and receive only a small amount of sulphur. Every wine is treated with the same high quality standards, regardless of variety and style.
The wine range includes:
- White wines from Verdicchio dei Castelli di Jesi DOC Classico;
- A Rosso Piceno DOC, a cuvée of Sangiovese and Montepulciano;
- A pure Merlot;
- A red wine made from Montepulciano grapes;
- Sparkling white and red wines;
- Rosé wines; and
- Orange wines, which acquire a special structure and complexity through longer maceration.
All wines are unfiltered, which emphasises their authenticity and natural character.
Several of the estate's wines have won awards at international competitions.
In addition to wine, the estate also produces olive oil. The olive grove has also been Demeter-certified since 2022. The olive trees are cultivated without chemical additives and the oil is bottled unfiltered, allowing it to retain its natural flavour. Olive grove with approx. 120 trees, of which approx. 60 are in full production and yield approx. 150 l of olive oil (2024).
