Many people from outside the area know the location of Wellington, without realising it, as it lies just off the M5 to the west of Taunton set in glorious countryside marked by a monument to the Duke of Wellington high on the Blackdown Hills. The Somerset County Town of Taunton is about 7 miles away to which there is a regular bus service from Wellington and also a park and ride. Taunton has a main line railway station, bus station, major shops, county cricket ground and a comprehensive array of events occurring throughout the year. 

Wellington has its own motorway interchange M5 junction 26 and approximate journey times are Exeter (Park and Ride) 30 minutes, Bristol (Portway Park and Ride) 60 minutes. Plymouth 75 minutes. The Regional International airports at Bristol and Exeter are both reached within the hour.
