Large supermarkets (not Express) in the vicinity - Asda, Tesco. Lidl a short walk away. Being able to conveniently get a wide variety of groceries cheaply was a big plus point for living in here. There’s also a regular market open most days. Mostly selling fruit and veg but also a fishmongers
For eating out there is Maggies (famous old school Irish cafe), Model market (modern street food stalls). A lot of other more restaurants in Lewisham centre that are fairly typical (good fish and chips place, Turkish restaurants, Pizza)
Greenwich park is a 20 minute walk away or a few stops on DLR. Great place for a walk, picnic or a job. There are cycling and running routes that go from Lewisham to Greenwich and along the Thames to O2 or via the Greenwich foot tunnel to the Docklands.
