Description

New to the market, is this charming 1850 square foot, five bedroom/ 4 bathroom, Victorian freehold house located on Rotherwood Road, a prime river road in West Putney.

Houses on this road are rarely available and it features a double reception room with high ceilings, window shutters, two fire places and plenty of original features. The spacious kitchen/diner, with scope to extend (STPP) leads to a gorgeous, East facing garden. The house has 5 bedrooms, including a spacious loft bedroom with en-suite, bathrooms on each floor and a large cellar for additional storage.

Rotherwood Road is moments from the River Thames Embankment, a short walk from Putney Common, in the catchment area of a number of highly regarded local schools and seconds from the Lower Richmond Road offering plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. For transport, Putney Bridge Underground and Putney mainline are a 10 minute walk away and there’s a number of local bus routes providing easy access into Central London.

Some words from the sellers:
What do you love most about your home/property?
The house has a lovely ambience, it’s very roomy and the garden is wonderful with the camellia and jasmine! We’ve been here for over 20 years and had so many happy memories, it is just such a lovely family home and whomever is the next owner I guarantee will be extremely happy here!

Why are you selling?
We’re only selling because want to downsize. We are empty nesters now and so don’t need this many bedrooms! Otherwise would stay for another 20 years

What do you love about the area?
Putney is a great place to live as it’s got great transport links to central London but also has its own character. Being so close to the river is a beautiful perk and you can walk down the towpath all the way to Hammersmith bridge and further. It’s been great for both my daughter going to school locally and my dog as there is so much green space. We have everything on the doorstep, from Lidl, to the soon opening M&S food! The Lower Richmond Road is at the top of our street and is full of such great cafes and pubs. The Oxford and Cambridge boat race starts at the bottom of our road!
