JOINT MANDATE

Large, lovely and light are the words which come to mind when entering this beautiful home. The white framed front door, inset with panes of coloured glass, makes an attractive entrance into the hall where a broad staircase leads down to an expansive, open plan living area.

A large lounge with two distinct seating areas has wide stacking doors opening to the garden, inviting the outdoors in. A carefully positioned stone fireplace assures a cosy atmosphere and warmth in winter.

The dining area, easily seating eight, is tucked into a purpose built alcove. Another alcove is perfect as a reading nook. There is an enclosed tv /sunroom with a braai which doubles as a wood fire.

Back up the stairs to the entrance hall, where a passage leads to three bedrooms plus a carpeted room with a balcony which can be used as a playroom, gym or study.

The large main bedroom, with a full bathroom including a dual purpose shower and twin basins, also has a balcony. Adjacent is a dressing room. The other two bedrooms are ensuite. All have generous fitted closets, fans, and vinyl floors.

Along the passage is a linen cupboard and coffee station.

Up to the third level where we find a teenager’s hideaway: a large room with space for friends’ sleepovers, a shower room and balcony.

A flatlet with an en suite bedroom and kitchenette has its own external entrance. There is also a staff room with full bathroom and scullery.

All bedrooms have an ocean view. There are three garages plus parking for three cars. Under the house is a water storage cavity with pump. Solar installations provide an alternative energy supply. The pool is child safe, surrounded by a white picket fence.
