“La Vecchia Locanda” is a historic townhouse in the historic center of Piazze, a few km from Cetona and San Casciano dei Bagni, therefore a few steps from the Fonteverde spa. The property was an old historic inn from the 1930s in the small village of Piazze where mainly guests of the San Casciano dei Bagni spa and guests of the famous doctor Rinaldi stayed, who treated patients with arthritis with personal and innovative methods (including famous people such as Arturo Toscanini, who lived in Piazze for a long time in those years) with extraordinary results. Renovated in its structural parts (roof, attics and load-bearing walls) in 2011-2012, it is spread over 4 levels for a total of 500 square meters, in addition to a beautiful veranda of about 50 square meters and a cave in the basement. Historic cities such as Florence, Siena, Arezzo, Perugia, Orvieto are 30 minutes to an hour and a quarter away by car. Other important historic centers in the area such as Montepulciano, Pienza, San Quirico d’Orcia, Radicofani, Chiusi, Sarteano, Città della Pieve are not far.
