Description

This beautiful Victorian semi-detached home in Bush Hill Park offers four double bedrooms and space to grow in a leafy pocket of London renowned for its urban convenience yet gentler pace of life.

Brickworks Says - Constructed in 1873, this storied and stylish family home is alluring and endlessly practical. It's a house to get lost in, whether curling up with a book by the big bay windows or playing hide-and-seek in the splendidly laid-out garden. Manageable in size yet large enough to find personal space when required, it's a home that provides the fluidity needed for modern life.

Days can start slowly in the light-filled kitchen, which opens out onto the magnificent 80-foot garden, making barbecues with friends and birthday parties a joy. The considered use of colour throughout the rest of the house is enchanting. Each room has an ambience that feels authentic and rooted in the decades of home-making that have come before.

Calm but not cut off, Bush Hill Park offers the best of both worlds––a peaceful yet connected London lifestyle with an abundance of green spaces and a family-friendly feel. From here, it's as easy to get out of London as it is to get in, with convenient access to the M25 and two of London's business airports less than 30 miles from the doorstep.

The Owners Say - First Avenue has been our family home for almost 15 years, and it holds so many special memories. We've had three generations living here together, and it's been perfect for us all—plenty of space to be together when we want, but with room for everyone to have their own space, too.

We've been exceptionally lucky to inherit a thoughtfully designed garden and have really enjoyed the varied landscape, the sound of water and the wildlife it attracts. We once spotted a heron drinking at the pond! It's a daily joy to look out onto it while sat at the kitchen island each morning.

We've loved the peace and quiet, the lovely neighbours, and being so close to the park yet still just 25 minutes from Central London. This home deserves to be filled with people. Now it's time for us to hand it to someone new; we hope the new owners will make just as many happy memories here as we have.
