Travelling from Stornoway proceed along the A857 following signs for Barvas.  On reaching Barvas follow the road round to the right, proceed along through Ballantrushal and into Upper Shader then into Lower Shader. Take the second turning on the left just before the bus shelter. 20 Is located on the right as you turn the corner through the village. The track road to the shore runs beside the house.
