The land lies about 0.5 miles from the centre of the village. Blidworth is a former mining village whose pit closed many years ago.  The village lies about 5 miles from Mansfield.  Mansfield serves as a centre for North Nottinghamshire and offers a good range of shopping, schooling and leisure facilities.  Vehicular access to the land is only possible for off road vehicles and tractors.
