Description
This versatile four-bedroom semi-detached home is deceptive from the front, with its accommodation over two floors, which both provide excellent views over the Tyne Valley from the rear; this is a house that could really suit a couple looking for space to work from home, or a family, particularly with older/teenage children.
Previously refurbished and improved by the current owner, the house has UPVC double glazing and gas combi. heating, and comprises, on the ground floor: entrance hall to the front, with a composite door, a bedroom to the left and a smaller office with built-in storage to the right. The hall leads straight through to the spacious lounge/dining room to the rear, which has a gas fire with a granite hearth and two windows including one large picture window that really maximises those amazing views over the Tyne Valley. Off the lounge/diner is a contemporary fitted kitchen, which includes grey units, a Delonghi range-style cooker with double ovens and 5-ring gas hob, and a Samsung fridge/freezer. A door to the side of the kitchen leads into the utility/porch which has plumbing for a washing machine and a door for access to/from the front garden.
Stairs from the hall lead down to the lower ground floor, with three bedrooms and a bathroom off the central hall/lobby. The main bedroom has a walk-in wardrobe and an en suite shower room, while the other two bedrooms have fitted wardrobes - one with an additional en suite shower room and the other with French doors leading out onto the impressive tiered composite decked balcony and steps to the rear.
Externally, the tiered composite decking is a real feature and has made excellent use of the natural contours of the sloping site as well as maximising the views, particularly with the ideal positioning of the hot tub on the first level down from the French doors. Below the decking and the steps are raised planted borders with a sloping lawned garden continuing down to the road behind, where there is a garage. To the front there is a small artificially-turfed garden, a block-paved patio and chipped slate beds, with a wooden gate for access from the path. There is also a recessed wooden bin store easily accessed from the pavement.
Agent's Note -
The house has solar panels fitted to the south-facing front elevation (fitted in 2016). The panels are owned, not leased, and the owner receives income from the feed-in tariff for units that are generated and not used. We can ask the owner to provide further information regarding the income generated on request.
