The Council would like to see the site brought forward as an outdoor padel centre with amenities. Based on the acreage, it is believed the site could accommodate 6 courts but this is subject to the applicant's assessment.

The site was previously used as a bowling green. Therefore, the Council do not envisage any planning issues obtaining a change of use to D2, Padel Centre. On the instructions of Cardiff Council, expressions of interest will be sought by way of an informal tender process no later than by the close of business on 13 August 2025.
