Ashcott is a very popular village in the Polden Hills, located conveniently between Street/Glastonbury and Bridgwater offering good access to the M5, offering easy access further afield. It has 2 pubs, a specialist private school, church, playing fields, and plenty of excellent walks over the surrounding country as well as a busy village hall which hosts various events including table tennis, shortmat bowls and dance classes. A fish and chip van comes every 2 weeks and a library van every month. Further amenities can be found under 3 miles due east in Street, which a Lido outdoor swimming pool, Clarks Village shopping outlet, Millfield and other senior schools.
