Description

Situated in an amazing rural location, a rare opportunity to demolish a building and build a brand new 3 bedroom, 2,140 sq ft, house. To the west of the popular village of Kirdford.

A rare opportunity to build a new house in an amazing, rural location, to the west of the popular village of Kirdford. Prior approval was granted on 7th October 2024 for the demolition of an existing light industrial building and the erection of a detached house. Chichester District Council planning reference KD/24/01039/PA20ZA. The proposed 2 storey house will extend to about 2,140 sq ft, together with garaging for 3 cars, parking and a garden. The building is approached over a lane, which the property owns, that also gives access to 3 other properties, one of which is beyond Slifehurst Farm.

Slifehurst Farm is in a peaceful, rural location, to the west of Kirdford (1.5 miles) with its village shop and two pubs. The popular village of Wisborough Green is about 4 miles to the east and the historic town of Petworth providing a good range of shops for everyday needs, is about 5 miles to the south west. Billingshurst, about 7 miles to the east, has a mainline station with trains to Victoria and London Bridge (about 65 and 70 minutes respectively). Haslemere, about 9.5 miles to the north-west also has good shopping facilities and a mainline railway with access to Waterloo (about 50 minutes). The larger cities of Guildford and Chichester are all within reasonably easy reach and offer a very extensive range of shopping and leisure facilities. There is golf locally and at Cowdray near Midhurst. There is golf, horse racing and motor racing at Goodwood and sailing off the south coast. In addition, there are many local footpaths close by. Access to the main motorway network is either via A283, to the west, which connects with A3 at Milford.
