In the summer months PS Waverley, the last ocean-going paddle steamer, passes outside the cottage on a regular
basis.
Situated on a southern tip of the Cowal peninsula, Toward is a small waterside ribbon village. Some 3 miles distance is Innellan which has a convenience store, two well regarded pubs, both providing a food offering and a busy golf course. The main town of Dunoon is a further 4 miles and offers a complete range of shopping, leisure and medical amenities.
