Description
Welcome to Grand Crescent, a truly exceptional family home nestled along one of Rottingdean’s most sought-after roads. Just a ten-minute stroll from the heart of the village, this beautifully designed residence offers contemporary coastal living at its finest.
With panoramic sea views, a dreamy principal suite with a freestanding bath, a stylish self-contained annex, and a landscaped south-facing garden, this property has been lovingly curated for both luxury and practicality. Whether you're looking for a forever family home or a flexible space with income potential, this one ticks every box.
Set back from the coast road but still enjoying sea views, this home immediately impresses with its crisp white façade, bespoke cladding, and modern resin driveway.
Step through the main front door and you’re greeted by a light-filled entrance hall. To the left, a lounge overlooking the front of the property offers a cosy retreat for movie nights. Further down the hall, a utility cupboard and cloakroom add essential practicality. To the right, the hallway opens into the show-stopping open-plan kitchen and dining space—the heart of the home.
The shaker-style kitchen, painted in soft grey tones, features high-end appliances including a double Smeg range cooker and Fisher & Paykel fridge/freezer. A central island with butler sink and breakfast bar provides the perfect spot for morning coffee or entertaining friends.
Bifold doors from the dining area open onto a raised, south-facing terrace where the sea views take centre stage. With smart grey decking, it’s a peaceful space to dine alfresco or relax with a glass of wine as the sun sets over the water.
Upstairs on the first floor are three well-proportioned bedrooms and a stylish family bathroom. The front bedroom features a curved bay window with views across the Downs and towards Rottingdean village. The rear bedroom enjoys built-in storage and a chic en-suite shower room ideal for older children or guests.
The main bathroom is beautifully finished in soft marble tones, with a walk-in double shower and underfloor heating for added comfort.
On the second floor, the principal suite is a serene sanctuary. With a freestanding bath, Juliette balcony overlooking the sea, and a dedicated dressing area, it’s the ultimate retreat. Built-in wardrobes and clever eaves storage ensure functionality matches the elegance.
The south-facing garden has been thoughtfully landscaped for low-maintenance living, with a lawned area and stepped terraces. A detached office at the rear is ideal for remote working, a home gym, or a creative studio.
Back at the front of the home, to the left of the property, a sleek and fully self-contained annex provides a perfect retreat for guests or a fantastic income stream (currently generating over £800pcm). Compact yet beautifully finished, it has its own entrance, wetroom, kitchenette, and everything needed for independent living.
What the owner says.......
Grand Crescent has been a wonderful home and has provided soo many happy times.
The first time I drove through lovely Rottingdean I knew I was going to live there. It's so beautiful. Walking distance to everything is very important to me and my children have grown up on the beach only minutes away and both attended the primary school in the village .
I can see the sea from virtually every window and that’s my happy place . I can even see it from my bath! The views are spectacular and the house has a wonderful sense of calm .
Everyone who visits our home loves it and they say it feels they are on holiday.
Our home is always full of family and friends as it seems to be the go to place for entertaining that's when it's truly at its best. I am sure that whoever moves here will have many wonderful years here like us!
