Description
What the sellers say:
"We have loved living here with a great sense of peace and quiet and a safe neighbourhood with great neighbours, who have often dog sat for us whilst away. Our children play for Tonbridge Juddians Rugby Club and we cycle down as a family, running through Haysden Park, all off-road, within 20 mins. We’ve also often cycled off-road with family to Penshurst Castle. From the kitchen, you have a view of the garden, so we can see the kids playing safely within view at all times, as well as the lovely natural oak tree, a great feature of our garden.
The garden room has been really useful for working from home and our children love sitting with us in the adjoining snug terrace. As we commute to London, it has been convenient to get into London - it's less than 5 mins to Hildenborough Station, where we can easily park, with a fast line to London Bridge, Waterloo East, Charing Cross and Cannon Street within 35 mins. There is also a commuter bus available at the top of the road into Victoria.
We enjoy going to the Indian restaurant Cinnamon Spice, opposite the station.
The Annual Hildenborough Road Races are a family sports day where our boys have participated and enjoyed getting to know the local community.
Loads of off-lead walks into forest areas and farmland for our Labrador Zuma, which you can access by walking from the house.
Hildenborough Park and BMX track, where our kids learned to ride bikes off-road, are less than 10 mins cycle away, in the heart of the village, opposite a convenience store and post office
When we first moved here, our first child was just 10 days old! We benefited from the baby and toddler activities at the Hildenborough Village Hall. Overall, it's a great location for families."
With great kerb appeal, this stunning family home features a newly paved driveway with off-street parking for four vehicles, and a contemporary double gate conveniently provides access to the rear garden.
Once through the front door, there is a versatile double bedroom perfect for grandparents or as a dedicated home office, alongside a spacious shower room. At the rear, the impressive open-plan living area comprises a generous lounge with a designated dining area, which leads out to the patio through bi-fold doors. The spacious, fully fitted kitchen features a central island and tucked around the corner, there is a flexible room (easily sectioned off with doors), offering the ideal space for a playroom or quiet retreat, complete with a cosy log burner. Practical laminate flooring flows throughout the ground floor and there is a handy utility room to the side of the house, with access to the rear garden.
Upstairs, there are four well-proportioned bedrooms. The principal bedroom, with fitted wardrobes and a modern en-suite shower room, enjoys a real sense of peace. The sleek family bathroom is a good size, with two Velux windows and built-in shelves for storage.
Outside, the low-maintenance rear garden (c. 100 ft) and full-width patio offer ample space for children to play and are perfect for entertaining. At the rear, a beautiful garden room provides flexible space, ideal for a home office, gym or a gaming den. With its adjoining terrace, this is a delightful spot to enjoy the outdoors.
