A trap door, on the corridors ceiling, allows access with a retractable ladder to the high attic with windows and skylights. The attic is suitable for being converted into living space, creating a spiral staircase in the vestibule that would end under the ridge of the roof.

The roof of the villa is in good condition, well insulated and covered with traditional tiles. The heating is LPG gas with separate radiators, boiler behind the kitchen and underground tank at the beginning of the road. The external frames are in solid wood with double glazing and the windows have closing doors. The floor is in light bricks left rough.

CASALINCONTRADA - CHIETI PROVINCE

Located at 330 metres above sea level, Casalincontrada is a delightful village, set on a hill between the Alento and Pescara Rivers. It is in a great position being almost equidistant between Abruzzo Airport, the Adriatic Coast and ski resorts of the Maiella. The agricultural fields surrounding Casalincontrada are rich in crops and, in particular, olive groves.

The town still hosts a few medieval, structures including the 15th century city gate and baronial palace. Some of its houses are built from earth (a mixture of straw, water and clay), which was a type of construction, used in several Abruzzo areas, until after World War II. There is even a centre, in the town hall, which documents the construction and preservation of this craft.

The population is 3,022 and is served by food shops, post office, pharmacies, bank, bars and pizzeria/restaurant.
