My sincere apologies about the bins, we are in the process of releasing more bin storage space and we therefore hope to see this situation improve very soon. We will be releasing further socials in the coming month, so for now put the 4th September in your diary which will be our opening event throughout the day. We very much look forward to seeing you there. Kind regards Natalie

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
The location is perfect, very short walk to town alongside the river which is beautiful. The study spaces and garden terraces are a delight, there’s minimal noise pollution as the flats are well insulated. The bin collection is ideal and well maintained. I have my own parking space in an underground secure car park.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
I haven’t raised any yet but I’m sure if I did it would be timely and efficient.
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:

Manager's response5Hi Izzy Thank you for this wonderful review. It is a pleasure to see how happy you are with everything so far and feel so welcomed by our lovely team. Welcome to the community, it is a pleasure to have you living here at Signal Box Yard. Kind regards Natalie

Please tell us about the good and bad aspects of living in your local area:
There are lots of local shops and restaurants within a 10 minute walk of the development. These are located on Chelsea Road and Moorland Road. The walk into town takes approximately 20 minutes which is also very convenient but there are also bus and train options too. We lived in the city centre previously and I haven’t noticed a disadvantage of living outside of town! Parking availability isn’t great in the area as lots of the nearby suburbs are permit holder only and the pricing at the development ers on the expensive side. For reference, our permit for zone 1 (city centre) cost less than £10 per month at our previous residence but the parking onsite is £150 per month. Because there is technically parking available at the building it makes you ineligible for a BANES council permit. I do also appreciate there is bicycle storage at no extra cost and this is absolutely something I will make use of. Traffic noise is significant when doors and windows are open with the exception of a few select times which tend to be Sundays and one or two evenings, however, we are right on the side of the main road. I have noticed the noise levels are significantly lower when in the inner courtyards and on the roof terraces.
How has the building management responded to any problems or issues you have raised:
We haven’t raised any issues other than some maintenance requests in our own flat but these were handled very well!
Please share one thing (or more) which you wish you had known before you moved in:
Mainly the pricing for the chef’s table as that came as a bit of a surprise.
Manager's response5Hi Connor Thank you for your lovely review, it is really pleasing to read how happy you are with the building and our team, especially the wonderful Caroline! My apologies it was not mentioned to you at viewing stage for the cost of the Chefs table, this will be reviewed going forward based on it's popularity. We are happy that we are able to make up for this with the other options of communal space that we have to offer throughout the building. Wishing you a very warm welcome into our community and thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Many thanks Natalie
