There’s also a twice weekly market (Wednesday and Saturday), which offers all the best in fresh produce, cheese, charcuterie etc. The local boulangerie is about a km away. 

The area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts with plenty of hiking, biking and horse riding. The River Tarn is of course on the doorstep and provides plenty of opportunity for fishing, kayaking and swimming. 

The cosmopolitan city of Toulouse (with its airport and TGV) is 45mins away. 

It’s worth noting that the house is 9m above the river level so flooding is extremely unlikely. There is no history of flooding.
