Provarma is a small quiet village 6 km from the waterfront village of Kalives (with a lovely sandy beach) and 1 km from Stilos (another traditional village with three tavernas and shops to buy groceries). This peaceful village surrounded by nature, close to other nearby villages of the Apokoronas district (Samonas, Machairoi, Megala Chorafia, Vamos) where one can experience the real traditional Crete or explore the unique rugged small gorges and various other landmarks in the Apokoronas district. The main highway is easily accessed from the village, and is 5 km from the National Road, about 25 from Chania and 45 km from Rethymno.
