It is perfect for first-time buyers, small families or professionals looking for somewhere close to London without being right in the heart of it. As soon as we walked through the door, we knew it was the one. The space felt generous, modern yet cosy. The location ticked all the boxes.
One of the real highlights for us has been the large private terrace. It has become our favourite spot during the warmer months. It is perfect for long summer evenings as the sun goes down. There is plenty of space for outdoor furniture or a barbecue. The sunlight throughout the day makes it a bright and peaceful place to unwind.
We have also really appreciated how energy-efficient the home is. It stays warm and is easy to heat in winter. It has been by far the most comfortable place we have ever lived. Our monthly energy bills have remained low, averaging around £45.
The transport links have been brilliant. Both Thornton Heath and Norbury stations are within a 10 to 15-minute walk, offering quick and easy access into Central London. Balham is just a few stops away, where you can connect to the Tube. There are also great bus routes to Croydon or Brixton, so getting around has never been a problem.
Another thing we have loved is the amount of storage space. It has made daily life feel really manageable. We have never felt cramped or cluttered. The modern bathroom is another highlight. The shower has excellent water pressure, which is something that truly makes a difference.
We have lived here for almost three years and have found this to be a peaceful and friendly part of town. Locally, there are lovely green spaces such as Streatham Common or Brockwell Park. We have enjoyed exploring nearby cafes, restaurants or pubs. All major supermarkets are within easy reach either on foot or by car.
Since having our son, who is now 18 months old, we have found the home works wonderfully for a young child. It is a quiet area with space for him to move around safely while still being easy to manage. There are several nurseries nearby, which has been a huge benefit for us.
We are only moving due to work and the possibility of our family growing. Otherwise, we would not even be considering it. This has been a happy and comfortable home for us. We hope it brings just as much joy to its next owners."
