Location - Reach
Reach is a picturesque village nestled on the edge of the Cambridgeshire Fens, around 12 miles from the city of Cambridge, just 6 miles from the market town of Newmarket and 1.5 miles from the village of Burwell, with good road access to the A14 and M11.

At the heart of the village is the much-loved Dyke’s End pub, a traditional country inn which is perfectly positioned on the village green. The village church, St Etheldreda and The Holy Trinity, offers regular services and events and is supported by the wider group of parishes in the area.

Reach also benefits from a well-used village hall, home to community classes, social gatherings and club meetings. It’s available to hire and frequently used for events such as quiz nights, fitness groups and charity fundraisers. The village green and surrounding footpaths, including those along the historic Devil’s Dyke, offer beautiful countryside walks right on the doorstep. The green also hosts the famous Reach Fair every May, a tradition dating back to the 13th century that brings together the whole community for a day of stalls, music and celebration.

Just down the road in nearby Burwell, residents can benefit from a post office, supermarket, pharmacy and highly-rated primary schools. Secondary schools and larger supermarkets can be found in Newmarket or Ely, and Cambridge offers everything from theatres and galleries to boutique shopping and dining.

For homebuyers looking for a charming village, surrounded by nature but close to towns and cities, Reach is well worth a visit!
