Set on the north side of the seaside village of Gullane, Holm Lodge enjoys a lovely position on Hummel Road, a stone’s throw from Gullane beach. This wonderful sandy bay with excellent views out onto the Firth of Forth makes it very popular with families and holiday makers.

Gullane is well known for its golf courses, which surround the village. There are three golf clubs in the village: Gullane (three courses), Luffness and Muirfield. Archerfield (two courses) and Renaissance are just outside the village. The surrounding countryside offers beautiful walks through woodland and along the coast. The area is also popular with water sports enthusiasts, with a coastal rowing club, wind surfing and a sailing school located at North Berwick harbour.

The village has a lively mix of shops, restaurants and hotels, including a Co-op, general store, a library and the gourmet restaurants of La Potinière, the Bonnie Badger and the Roux restaurant at Greywalls hotel. The larger towns of Haddington and North Berwick provide a wider range of shops, supermarkets and leisure activities.

Edinburgh and the airport are easily accessible via the A1 and the Edinburgh City Bypass as well as by train which is available at the nearby village of Drem. Local schooling is available in both Gullane and North Berwick and all the private schools of Edinburgh are also within reach.
