Description

Rome - Coppedè - Via Dora, Palaces of the Ambassadors.
Entering the Coppedè district from via Dora are, on the sides, the palaces of the ambassadors, designed by the famous Florentine architect Luigi "Gino" Coppedè and completed in 1921. The palaces, a splendid expression of liberty art, are masterfully connected to each other through the Scenographic solution of the large arcone (illuminated by an elegant wrought iron chandelier), adorned with a large stucco mask supported by two Michelagioleschi ephebi.

In axis with the mask, the architect places the emblem of the doctors, probable homage to his city Florence, among the windows of the foreground noble floor, which we ask to put on sale today, offering the rare possibility of buying a real "piece" author.
The beautiful apartment measures about 210.00 square meters covered and consists of a large entrance of about 20.00 square meters from which you access double representation and the corridor that connects to the kitchen, study and sleeping area, consisting of three large rooms With frescoed ceilings, three bedrooms and two services.

Three balconies on three exhibitions complete the property, the comfortable cellar and the exclusive use of a terrace placed on the penthouse.

An enchanted place among the buildings of Rome: the Coppedè district

The Coppedè district is the most original artistic-architectural experiment undertaken in Rome in the early twentieth century.
Some call it Liberty, according to others it is neo -Gothic, according to others it is such a new style that it cannot be classified. I confess that my culture in architecture does not come so much, I can only say that I like it very much.
It is a complex of buildings (26 buildings and 17 villas) and although it is not a real neighborhood, that's how the Romans call it.

The heart of this place, built by the architect Gino Coppedè is Piazza Mincio.
You arrive on foot passing under the large arch of via Dora, from which a majestic wrought iron chandelier hangs, and in the center of the square there is the delicious Fontana delle Rane waiting for you.

On sunny and spring days the square is full of Romans sitting on the edge of the tank or on the steps of the buildings to enjoy the sun and chat. In this magical place, traffic is also definitely below the Roman parameters and this makes the area a pleasant oasis of peace.
My heart building is the fair cottage.
Can you imagine what a wonder should it be to live in such a building? A small study in the tower, with a well -stocked bookcase and a comfortable armchair in which to sink reading a good book. What Else?

An area completely outside the classic tourist destinations, only a few tourists visit it, and not all the Romans know it .. but if you advance a few hours to spend with the nose upwards, I recommend you to take a ride.
You will find other curious (and not only tourists), you will recognize them from the enchanted gaze, all armed with a camera in search of the right light to immortalize this place out of the ordinary.
