Description
A PROPER Family Home.
Contemporary, characterful and inviting. A spacious corner plot, semi-detached and a useable layout- tickboxes we’re often asked to source for those wanting a family home that works for modern life.
Sat on a generous end plot that includes a driveway for several vehicles, proportional sunny rear/ side gardens and a small front garden, this home offers a sense of peace and privacy from the already quiet cul de sac. Buyers can rest assured they’re getting a home they can grow into and enjoy for many years to come.
This is a proper family home ready for your personal stamp of style and love, we can’t wait to show you!
Configuration.
Through the front door you’ll turn into a beautiful lounge that sets the tone for useable space for busy families or couples that require zoned living, with a sense of connection between rooms. Bright and airy thanks to a large bay window, we’d spent a lot of time here! The front room continues into a dining area with enough space for a proper formal dining set (and an extra kids kitchen, see photos!)
This dining space gives access to a handy utility room, which houses white goods and the boiler, freeing up space in the kitchen. In turn, the utility gives access to the handy downstairs WC and also separates the living room from an open plan kitchen that doubles as a second spot for lounging. Three semi-separate zones to chill out in, whilst remaining near your loved ones. We can see this layout working perfectly for families needing flexible spaces, be it for kids, work, or play!
Continuing into the kitchen, you’ve got the choice of a seat on the second sofa or at the breakfast bar island. This is the ideal area for evening drinks, socialising with family and friends whilst cooking up your signature dish, and spilling out into the garden through the double patio doors. It’s probably where the homework is done, art projects are perfected and everything in between; it’s very versatile and proves that the kitchen really is the heart of a home!. This indoor-outdoor living area of the home is definitely our favourite.
Engineered wood flooring, solid wood worktops and shaker style cabinets housing integral appliances give a sense of quality and are complimented by the classy tiled splash back. Nothing garish, nothing to change.
Upstairs, bedrooms in at three corners are great sizes (even the smallest isn’t a traditional disappointing ‘box room’). All have space for good sized furniture and storage, with large windows offering plenty of light throughout the day. Our favourite has got to be the second room, currently configured as the cutest little boys room, but we’re particularly happy with the smallest bedroom- normally no good for much more than a cot bed, this room would be great for young children or in it’s current configuration, as a comfortable home office. A good sized family bathroom with bath and shower over, floating basin storage unit and floating toilet completes this floor.
Let’s head outside…
Wrap Around, For Running Around.
The rear garden is soaked in sun throughout the day and thanks to its proportional size, you can enjoy as much or as little gardening as you wish! With a patio, lawn and planter shrub boarders, the scope for redesigning to your taste is endless. As inside, storage isn’t an issue out here with plenty of space for a shed or storage boxes. A secure rear gate is useful for bringing heavy items, bins and mucky kids around the back, and all of the high fencing is in good order. Buyers will no doubt spend every minute they can in this garden, whether you’re a low-maintenance lover or a green-thumbed grower! Whether you keep things the same or give it an overhaul, you can look forward to alfresco evenings, birthday BBQs and plenty of memories here. There’s plenty of space for kids to run around and tire themselves out, once you’re back from beach, park or river activities!
Agent Note:
Parking is a dreamy addition to any house, and the driveway here allows you to pull TWO vehicles off road. No hassle finding a space...no walking in the rain with arms full of shopping and kids.
The Location.
Around 1mile from Christchurch town centre, this family home is within walking distance/ a short drive from all amenities including Christchurch train station and is within the ever-desirable Twynham school catchment area. Christchurch is extremely popular right now, and it’s easy to see why, with a great selection of shops, bars, riverside walks and the historic Christchurch Priory. Need to get up and out of the area for work? Rimbury Way is ideally located for commuters with easy access to the A338 and motorways.
This Home Pairs Well With…
