Buckland Monachorum is a village and civil parish in the West Devon district of Devon, England, situated on the River Tavy, about 10 miles north of Plymouth. The Village provides the Primary School of St Andrews (Rated Good by Ofsted), the village church of St Andrews and the Drake Manor Inn and is close to Buckland Abbey, the home of Sir Francis Drake, now owned by the National Trust.  The Village has a regular bus service to Yelverton and the surrounding areas and there are a multitude of walks available out to the surrounding countryside
