Description
We have spent many happy years at Little Acre following our move from Surrey to escape the ever extending urbanisation. Little Acre is part of a wonderful unspoilt little hamlet with beautiful views over the Somerset countryside.
We particularly love the peace and tranquillity of Little Acre, the views of sunrise over the Somerset Levels, and the sunsets against the Quantock hills. The night sky is free from light pollution and it provides yet another striking and serene vista.
As lovers of nature and wildlife, we enjoy walking in the Quantocks, and watching the many varieties of birds that visit our garden feeder, and the rabbits that play in our Paddock. We get a bountiful supply of apples, and walnuts from the trees growing in the Paddock, and a large wild cherry provides seasonal fruit for the visiting birds.
When it comes to our shopping, Little Acre is ideally situated for easy access to Taunton, Bridgwater and the M5, and yet it is extremely private, peaceful, and rural. We will miss Little Acre, but it is now time to downsize, and move closer to family and friends.
STEP INSIDE
Little Acre has been thoughtfully updated by our clients to offer a superb blend of stylish design and flexible living. Set in generous gardens with adjoining paddock, the home now provides three double bedrooms on the ground floor, alongside an additional luxurious principal suite occupying the entire first floor, with far-reaching countryside views and a real sense of indulgence.
At the heart of the home is the beautifully appointed kitchen, complete with a range of integrated appliances including a Range cooker, dishwasher, and fridge freezer. The kitchen flows seamlessly into a spacious dining area, where double doors open directly onto the gardens, ideal for entertaining or enjoying al fresco dining.
A separate utility room with a butler sink offers practical access to the rear garden, while the sitting room enjoys a wonderful triple aspect, garden views, and double doors with an electric sun blind, perfectly positioned to enjoy the afternoon and evening sun.
A cosy study/snug provides a peaceful corner to work or unwind.
The three ground-floor double bedrooms are well served by a stylish family shower room and a beautifully fitted en-suite. Upstairs, the principal bedroom suite is a true retreat—featuring five windows to capture panoramic views, a luxurious en-suite shower room, and an impressive walk-in dressing room.
STEP OUTSIDE
Set within and surrounded by beautifully maintained gardens and an adjoining enclosed paddock, Little Acre enjoys a total plot of approximately 1.43 acres. A five-bar gate opens onto a spacious block-paved driveway, leading to a detached double garage with a remote-controlled door. Opposite the garage, a secondary access provides entry to the paddock.
The level gardens wrap around the property, creating a haven for wildlife and offering complete privacy and seclusion.
The paddock itself extends to just over 1 acre and benefits from its own separate road access. In the corner, a prolific walnut tree is complemented by a variety of additional trees, making this a truly idyllic setting, perfect for those seeking a slice of the good life.
