Named in the Domesday Book as part of the ancient Bernwood Forest Westcott lies in the Parish of the larger village of Waddesdon and sits at the foot of Lodge Hill and the Rothschild mansion, Waddesdon Manor, with beautiful country walks in all directions. There is a cricket club, deli/cafe and small shop on the former M.O.D site, said site being now the venture park and home to a number of businesses.

Aylesbury is some 6 miles with a train service to Marylebone in 55 mins and Bicester (10 miles) also has a train service to Marylebone which takes around an hour. There is however a station at Haddenham (9 miles), Haddenham & Thame Parkway, that has frequent trains to London, the fast train arriving in Marylebone is 36 minutes. 

The market town of Thame is approximately 10 miles with the M40 just beyond.
