Description
Description
Norton St Philip Gospel Chapel is charming Grade II listed chapel dated to 1814 and set right in the heart of the village. It offers the potential to suit a wide variety of uses including residential conversion, community space, offices or studios, subject of course to gaining the necessary consents.
The chapel now requires a scheme of renovation and improvement but comprises a lovely light, airy and versatile space. The front door opens into an entrance vestibule with a cloakroom and kitchenette to the left and stairs to the galleried seating area to the right. A central door opens into the chapel.
The main area is one large open room, with arched windows to each side, a gallery area and a covered font within the floor at the altar end.
To the rear of the chapel is a meeting room/office with a door leading to the side. Previously this was arranged over two floors but the stairs were removed some time ago and it had been used as single room since.
Outside
The chapel has a small area of outside space to the front of the building, currently laid to lawn and it is believed that there is one single grave in this area.
Agents note
Please be aware that the land to the side of the chapel is owned by a neighbouring property. The chapel does benefit from a right of way to the side door leading into the meeting room.
Completion
Completion has been set for Thursday 23rd October 2025 or earlier by arrangement.
