Seller's comments...

We’ve lived on Browning Drive in Bicester since 2006, and over the past 19 years, this house has become a well-loved and well-used family home. It’s seen our children grow up, it’s adapted to our changing needs, and we’ve put a lot of time and effort into improving it—both inside and out.

In 2010, we completed a two-storey extension and carried out a full renovation of the property, including the garden. The project gave us the extra space we needed and allowed us to modernise the house throughout. Since then, we’ve continued to invest in the property, turning it into a comfortable and efficient family home with a practical layout and quality features.

One of the standout areas is the kitchen/diner. It’s a spacious, functional room that works just as well for family life as it does for entertaining. Underfloor heating makes it cosy in the colder months, and it’s become the natural gathering point for meals, homework, or just chatting over a coffee. It’s a room that really works.

We’ve also made sure the house keeps up with modern standards of energy efficiency and comfort. We added solar panels, which help offset energy costs, and installed air conditioning units in two rooms, which have been a real bonus during hotter summers. There’s also an electric vehicle charger outside and a pressurised hot water system inside, which makes a big difference when it comes to running showers and baths at the same time—especially with a family. All these additions were made with day-to-day convenience and efficiency in mind.

Our two youngest children were born while we’ve lived here, and they both attended the excellent Kings Meadow School, just a short walk away. The location has been ideal—not just for schools, but also for access to shops, parks, and local amenities. Bicester itself has grown a lot over the years, and we’ve appreciated how easy it’s been to get around and find what we need without any fuss.

Another thing that’s made a big difference over the years is the neighbourhood. It’s quiet, safe, and friendly, with a real sense of community. In nearly two decades, we’ve never had any issues, and we’ve always felt very comfortable and secure here. The neighbours are helpful and respectful, and it’s the kind of place where people look out for one another without being intrusive.

This house has served us well, and we’ve done our best to keep it in excellent condition. It’s not overdone or overly styled—it’s simply a solid, modern, well-equipped family home that’s been looked after and updated as needed. We’re proud of what we’ve put into it and confident it’ll be a great home for whoever comes next.
