Through the front door and you instantly get a glimpse into that huge open plan living-dining-cooking area; our favourite part of this home. The space is vast, and feels like a small family would be very comfortable here thanks to zoned areas that include large lounge seating, a fixed dining table for 5 and a large kitchen complete with integral appliances. Evenly lit by those contemporary windows front and back (with subtle privacy film at the front), it feels bright and airy whilst being tucked away.
The lounge area is found at the back of the home, and looks out into the super private courtyard garden. There’s a strong sense of connection to the outside here, whilst you’re watching your latest Netflix obsession or reading a book in that cute hanging chair! Plenty of radiators keep the home cosy in the warmer months, powered by the gas combination boiler in the kitchen.


Upstairs you’ll find three bedrooms, one with an en-suite shower room and the family bathroom. The primary bedroom is flooded with light through those amazing floor to ceiling windows, and feels really spacious despite having large built-in wardrobes and an extra over-the-stairs cupboard. This bedroom boasts an en suite shower room, complete with toilet, basin with storage, heated towel rail and a shower cubicle.

The second bedroom is also a great size- perfect for kids and guests as it will take a double bed and furniture. The windows are even more impressive here- a large floor to ceiling gird with openers and privacy film. Decoration throughout the upstairs is neutral, a perfect canvas that you can choose to keep simple, or spice up with your own flare of colour! The third bedroom at the rear of the home, is ideal as a cot room, small child's bedroom or in its current form, a home office/man cave (jealous!).

The family bathroom has a bath with shower over, partially aqua boarded walls, a high-level opening window and units matching those in the en suite. Ample loft storage completes the upstairs and helps keep things tidy!

 

Courtyard Garden.
‘Private’ is an understatement. It’s not huge, but this tranquil space is a slice of heaven that you can retreat to after a train commute, day at the beach or a long day at the office. There’s space for garden furniture (pictured), the grass is artificial (genius), and there’s lockable rear access. The owners wonder if there may be the possibility of purchasing some extra land from the neighbours to extend the garden, but this just an idea. Perfect for morning coffees, romantic evening drinks, summer barbecues and a safe play area for the kids.

Where You’ll Live.
The location is brilliant! Far enough off the main road to be peaceful, but close to local amenities, shops, the train station, picturesque walks and Twynham Secondary School.
Town centre is a very short walk away, where you’ll reach an abundance of shops, cafés, bars and restaurants. The train station is a 4minute walk away (we timed it!), making a London commute super easy.
The sellers know their neighbours by name and everyone seems to look out for one another at Avon Buildings with the buyers saying There’s a very close knitted community, with a WhatsApp group and lovely neighbours who look out for one another, especially when someone is away for a longer period of time.
