The villa was built in 1766 by an aristocratic Austrian family and named after its owner Gina.
In the 20th century, it belonged to the family of the famous Italian artist Baldassaro Longoni, his paintings are preserved in the villa, and the main street of the town is named after him.
In 2011 Villa was completely renovated, the original stucco molding and ceilings were restored, the floors were made of handmade tiles and rare types of marble, which no longer exist, the walls are decorated with frescoes in the old Italian graffito technique, executed by the famous maestro, who exclusively deals with the restaurant of architectural monuments. The hall and the Small Living Room are decorated with hand-made wallpaper - the boards-stamps of which are protected by UNESCO and dated to the beginning of the 17th century.
The fireplace hall and all bedrooms are finished with natural silks cloths, produced by the best family manufactories on Lake Como. The 18th century MURANO chandelier adorned the Chinese Embassy in Paris (the only one in the world) and now adorns the Villa with its splendor.
