Description

Smart one bed ex-local apartment of 451 square feet, with a fresh and neutral decorative scheme, in a residential spot that's close to both Queens Road Peckham and Nunhead stations (eight and six minutes away by foot), and to central Nunhead's high street area and Nunhead Green.

Welcome features include wooden floors and double-glazing, and there is a big communal garden for residents - set to the rear of the building. The property also has its own private external shed (with plenty of space to store bikes), and car parking is unrestricted on the street.

Open stairs deliver you to the first floor, and your own front door opens onto a hall area, with the kitchen to your left and the bathroom to your right. The kitchen is a neat affair with built-in cupboards and wooden counters. The windowed bathroom has been recently renovated - with a contemporary white suite, over bath shower, heated towel rail, and brick-style tiling to the walls.

The large reception room (of 12 feet by 12 feet) has views out onto the shared garden, and a built-in storage cupboard to one corner.

The generous bedroom next door stretches 15 feet by over 9 feet. This room also enjoys garden views and a sunny south-westerly orientation.

What's in the neighbourhood? Central Nunhead has strong independent staples including Ayres bakery and FC Soper wet fish shop. Fine establishments to eat and drink include El Vermut, Goodcup/Goodnights, Four Hundred Rabbits, The Pyrotechnists Arms and The Old Nun's Head (all are on Nunhead Lane). The Golden Anchor - your closest Victorian pub - has had a fairly recent rework, with the assistance of Tom Kerridge.

Nunhead also has a thriving community centre, and pretty Victorian library. For green space, Nunhead Cemetery and Nature Reserve is beautiful (one of 'The Magnificent Seven') and Peckham Rye Park and Common's 113 acres are close too; just walk down to the end of Nunhead Lane. Telegraph Hill has pretty parks with London skyline views, a little yet lively Saturday market, and The Hill Station cafe/pop up space.

Head to Peckham Bazaar on nearby Consort Road for the hottest table in SE15; find pan-Balkan cuisine and a pleasing wine list. Close to QRP Station, you have Blackbird Bakery, Beer Rebellion, Well & Fed and a new tapas/wine joint.

The Bussey Building & Copeland Park complex is also a short walk from your door for hip eats, drinks, exhibitions and the like (there is even a rooftop bar and cinema in the warm months). Rye Lane's Peckham Plex cinema is also an important know-about with films for a fiver, as well as Peckham Levels and the new Market Building.

The 'triangle' at the end of Peckham Rye Park and Common's 113 acres is busy with places to eat, drink and be - Mr Bao, Banh Banh, Funkidory and Voodoo Ray's being a handful. Bellenden Road, Choumert Road, Blenheim Grove and Rye Lane provide more food and drink options. We particularly rate Levan, The Begging Bowl, Artusi and Ganapati.
