Description

The Property

A beautifully presented and unique conversion of a chapel, built in 1870, with Grade II listing in the heart of the village. The creative layout offers a light and spacious open plan living space with a stunning galleried landing and large original windows, three double bedrooms and two bathrooms.  The Chapel retains its original character without compromising on comfortable modern living and has stunning interior design features throughout.

You are welcomed into the generous living space through original chapel doors.  The main room is flooded with natural light from the original chapel windows, with a wood burning stove to warm winter toes, underheated engineered oak flooring and stairs leading up to the galleried landing.

The kitchen dining area, whilst still part of the main living area is separated enough to create a distinct dining and cooking space.  This lovely modern kitchen features underfloor heated stone flooring and a central island incorporating an integrated oven and hob with extractor over, ensuring that the chef is still part of action.  There is a range of fitted kitchen units, an integrated under counter fridge, dishwasher and sink with drainer along the back wall.  In front of the island is plenty of space for a table and six chairs and a large window out to the front.

Also on the ground floor is a utility area with space for a washing machine, fridge freezer and storage, leading into the downstairs shower wet room, with floor to ceiling travertine tiles, a wonderful curved walk in shower, wash hand basin and WC.

Up the striking oak and glass staircase to the mezzanine level, which looks down to the main living area, you will find three double bedrooms and the family bathroom.  Two bedrooms lie at the end of the hallway, both with windows out to the side and the other with a window out to the front of the property.  All three rooms are well proportioned and are currently arranged with two king size beds and a twin bedroom.

The family bathroom upstairs, features a bath with shower over, WC and wash hand basin.

Whilst there is no garden with the Chapel, it is perfectly situated to walk from the front door to all the amenities Thornham has to offer, including three local pubs with lovely gardens and the Thornham Deli. The beautiful beach at Thornham is also within walking distance.

Unrestricted parking is available immediately outside The Chapel and there is further off-road parking available on nearby side streets.

The Location

Thornham is one of the most sought after coastal villages in North Norfolk. Principally by virtue of the picturesque nature of the village and the wonderful amenities.

There are three pubs, The Orange Tree, The Lifeboat Inn and The Chequers, with the famous Thornham Deli, café and lifestyle store on the edge of the village.

Between Thornham and Holme is the fabulous Drove Orchards with Eric's Fish & Chip shop, a farm shop, Gurneys Fish Shop and a host of interesting independent shops.

The beach at Thornham is beautiful, it is beautiful walk out to the beach and once there you find a stretch of unspoiled and largely quiet beach. For the less adventurous, the sandy beach at Holme-next-the-Sea is just a couple of miles away and has a car park very close to the beach itself.

About Big Skies Estates Limited, Holt

3 Church Street, Holt, NR25 6BB
Industry affiliations:Industry affiliation logo 0

Big Skies Estates is a different type of estate agency.

The big idea behind Big Skies Estates was to recognise that many of the properties along the North Norfolk coast have the potential to be both wonderful residential dwellings, either full time or as second homes and also that they could have the potential to generate a second income for their owners as holiday cottages. So, in order to ensure that all the properties we market reach the widest audience, we will give an indication of the potential (or current) income generating potential of the house.

Even if new purchasers do not wish to holiday let (and many don't), it can do no harm to know the potential of your new Norfolk purchase; and for some buyers, who would like to see more of a return on the their second home investment, an understanding of second income potential is an essential part of the buying process.

We recognise that selling your main residence and your second home are two quite different processes, so we work differently with different types of owners. We are able to help with a strategy specific to you to ensure that your Norfolk home looks its very best for every viewing.

It's the small things that make the difference!
