The semi-detached villas built by John Macdonald in the Burnbrae area are amongst Bearsden's most popular. Well proportioned, well built, and with good ceiling heights they are excellent family homes and also finding favour with couples too. Built in the 1930s they sit upon, generally, good sized gardens.

This house is one of the models finished in white-painted render. The roof has been retiled with a smart, flat, roof tile, with dry-ridging - a big expense and future proofing for many years to come. A gravel driveway provides parking for three cars and at its far end is a fence, with gate, in front of the single garage (built in 2012). The rear garden has two patios, a small section of grass, and is neatly enclosed by fences and hedge.

Location

The Burnbrae district is beside the local beauty spot of Kilmardinny Loch and its woodland – a lovely walk. School catchment is the excellent Mosshead Primary with secondary at the high-performing Bearsden Academy. Beside this, on Duntocher Road, is St Nicholas’ Primary. It is very conveniently located for all the shops, and services, that both Bearsden and Milngavie have to offer, particularly those at the Burnbrae Retail Park. At the foot of Mosshead Road is Milngavie Road beyond which are the fabulous new premises of the Allander Sports Centre. There is a Pure Gym around the corner on Milngavie Road next to which is the Burnbrae Inn – good restaurant and bar. Railway stations are nearby at Milngavie and Hillfoot.
