Seller insights

“We’ve absolutely loved living here. We first moved to Sleaford 30 years ago and just never wanted to leave. It’s such a friendly, welcoming place, with super neighbours. This part of town is especially peaceful, and it’s been a wonderful place to call home.”

“We’ve lived in 2 Hervey Road for nine years. In that time, we’ve completely refurbished and modernised the house. It works brilliantly as a family home. The house is all ready for someone to move straight into, though there’s plenty of scope to add your own personal touches.”

“The layout is very flexible. The snug is one of our favourite spaces for a cosy film night in winter or just relaxing with a good book. We use the garden room for entertaining – whether that’s Christmas with family or summer gatherings with friends. The dining room is also huge. You’ll see that we’ve got a 10-seater table, a sofa and other furniture in there but this room could easily be turned into another living area or a home office.”

“The annexe is brilliant. It’s fully self-contained – making it ideal for older relatives, teenagers or even as an Airbnb, subject to planning permission. The living area looks out over the garden, which makes it really bright and also private.”

“The garden is so easy to maintain and very secure for younger children or pets. We love sitting out on the patio on a summer evening, just relaxing together or chilling out.”

“We’re so close to the town centre here – it’s literally a 10-minute walk. Sleaford has everything you need day to day, including supermarkets, high-street shops, a garden centre, doctors and a great leisure centre. There’s a farmers’ market, an annual Christmas market and plenty of places to eat out – from Indian to Greek, traditional pubs and cafes. Further afield, Lincoln is a fantastic city to visit, with lots of independent shops, cafes and restaurants.”

“Sleaford has a nice mix of people – families, couples and retirees – and there’s a genuine community feel here. There are lots of lovely places to explore nearby. We often take a stroll to the pub in Silk Willoughby and also regularly visit Belton House, which is a very popular National Trust property.”

“The schools were a big factor in why we moved here originally. Our children have been educated locally. There are excellent primaries plus two grammar schools and very good co-educational schools like St George’s.”

“Sleaford rail station is less than a 10-minute walk away. From there, you can catch trains to Grantham – with services to London, Peterborough and Nottingham. Living here really does give you the best of both worlds: a lovely market town with a community feel but within easy reach of the city.”

“We shall miss living here a great deal. It’s the perfect family home and we’ll take many happy memories with us. We’re staying in Sleaford, though, as it’s such a fantastic place to live.”
